about us

who we are
what we do

New York Volunteer Network is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to showing up for those in need when the government does not.

We serve our community through volunteer work, fundraising and advocacy. Over 90% of our donations go directly back to the community funding projects to help those in need. Although projects and fundraisers are always shifting, there are three that remain pertinent to our cause:

The Support Fund was created to provide meals and services for struggling families in our communities, The Care Fund is dedicated to putting care packages together for homeless individuals, and The General Fund is to support building our website, outreach, and marketing as we spread the word of our volunteer organization. All donations are tax deductible.

Together we can show community giving has a higher and more meaningful impact than government programs.

Mission Statement

At the New York Volunteer Network, we believe that real change starts locally—through the hands and hearts of neighbors helping neighbors. Our mission is to empower individuals to make a direct impact in their communities by funding grassroots initiatives through small, voluntary donations. We reject the inefficiency and impersonal nature of top-down solutions, proving that compassion thrives without coercion. Every dollar we raise is freely given, transparently used, and locally deployed to meet real needs. We exist to show that freedom, not force, is the foundation of a truly caring society.
